# It’s An Apple Lisa, On A FPGA

**[Hackaday](https://daily.dev/sources/hackaday)** · 2 min read · 0 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

A hobbyist project called LisaFPGA recreates the rare Apple Lisa computer on an FPGA board. The custom PCB supports both original Lisa keyboard/mouse connectors and modern USB peripherals, HDMI output, and an SD card slot. A 40-pin DIP UART chip is included since no pre-built FPGA core exists for it. The project aims to make the historically significant but scarce Apple Lisa accessible to enthusiasts, with source code planned for GitHub once finalized.
