# Journey maker thatgamecompany announces thatgamepublisher

## Summary

Thatgamecompany, the studio behind Journey and Sky: Children of the Light, has launched a publishing arm called thatgamepublisher, funded by profits from Sky. Led by SJ Xue, the initiative aims to fund and support 'emotionally ambitious games' from teams of any size or budget, offering full-service publishing including marketing, community, and strategy help—unlike fund-only models used by Innersloth's Outersloth or Landfall's Evil Landfall.
