Karafka 2.6 and Web UI 1.0: Laying the Groundwork for Kafka Queues

Karafka 2.6 and Karafka Web UI 1.0 have been released. The headline features include a redesigned Declarative Topics DSL (now separate from routing), dynamic worker pool scaling at runtime, lag compensation for long-paused partitions, and a new low-level offsets API. The most significant work, however, is an internal reorganization of consumer-group code into consistent namespaces — invisible to users today, but the mandatory groundwork for upcoming Kafka Share Groups (KIP-932) support. Web UI graduates to 1.0 with modernized header-based CSRF protection, poll interval monitoring, and runtime-aware worker count display. The release also includes roughly 55 bug fixes across both projects. Upgrading from 2.5 is described as small for most apps, but Web UI 1.0 requires Karafka 2.6.
