KDE Plasma 6.8 is getting color-coded number badges for monitors in multi-monitor configuration screens, making it easier to identify displays — especially useful for setups with multiple identical models. QML-based KDE apps will also switch to the KDE-style color picker instead of Qt's, which doesn't respect KDE color schemes. Meanwhile, Plasma 6.7.1 is bringing a smooth blend effect when switching global themes, disabling the game controller input plug-in by default due to a race condition on hot-plug, and fixing a KWin crash at login caused by invalid color format requests. Plasma 6.6.6 addresses KWin failing to start at login on older GPUs.
