AWS has launched a native iOS app for Kiro, its AI-powered development environment, allowing developers to monitor, steer, and approve agentic coding sessions from their phones. The app supports three session modes — Chat, Spec, and Autonomous — with compute running in AWS's cloud backend so sessions continue even when the screen is off. Diffs render as native red/green cards optimized for mobile readability. The release also brings spec-driven development to Kiro Web, a workflow where agents first produce requirements, design docs, and task lists before writing any code — described as a safeguard against AI-generated 'slop.' Additionally, AWS is previewing a code review capability for its DevOps Agent to help manage the growing volume of AI-generated pull requests. Kiro Mobile is available in preview on iOS 17+ for paid subscribers; Android support is not currently planned.
