Kodak has confirmed a security breach after the ShinyHunters extortion group claimed responsibility, alleging theft of over 2.2 million records containing customer PII and internal corporate data. Kodak says only a "limited amount" of data was accessed and that external cybersecurity experts are investigating. ShinyHunters set a deadline of June 18, 2026 before threatening to leak the data. The group has a history of large-scale breaches, including attacks on Salesforce customers, Snowflake clients, and over 100 organizations via an Oracle PeopleSoft zero-day.
