Laracon US 2026 keynote announcements cover both the Laravel framework and Laravel Cloud platform. Framework additions include a new image manipulation API, Laravel LSP (Language Server Protocol support for NeoVim, Zed, and Sublime Text), Inertia DevTools Chrome extension, CPX (an npx-equivalent for PHP), a package skeleton template, the `artisan dev` command, a head tag API, Blade formatting in Pint, `artisan doctor` health checks, refreshable locks, and debounced jobs. On the AI side, the Laravel AI SDK gains a human-in-the-loop (HITL) tool approval API, filesystem tools for agents, a `summarize()` string helper, multimodal embeddings, and OpenAI-compatible provider support. Laravel Cloud ships scale-to-zero Flex compute (waking in under 500ms, MySQL included), managed queues with autoscaling and FIFO support, a secrets manager, Next.js and Nuxt deployment from monorepos, and Private Cloud updates including HIPAA compliance and add-ons for custom software.
