# Leveling up Weaviate Cloud security: Expanding role-based access control for Cloud console

## Summary

Weaviate Cloud is expanding its role-based access control (RBAC) system with two new roles — Editor and Viewer — alongside the existing Owner and Admin roles. The Editor role allows cluster management without billing or user invitation access, while the Viewer role provides read-only visibility. These additions help organizations apply the principle of least privilege, limiting access to only what each team member needs. Role changes are managed through the Organization settings panel in the Weaviate Cloud console and take effect immediately.
