## Summary

LibreDB Studio is a self-hosted, browser-based SQL IDE that supports 46 databases including Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, ClickHouse, DuckDB, and Cassandra. It deploys via Docker or Helm alongside your database, eliminating the need for SSH tunnels or desktop clients on every laptop. The project is MIT licensed and includes SSO support and an AI assistant. The maintainers are soliciting feedback on which database to support next.

Deploy it next to your database with Docker or Helm and open it in the browser. No SSH tunnels, no desktop client on every laptop.

Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis, ClickHouse, DuckDB, Cassandra and more. MIT licensed, SSO and the AI assistant included.

Which database would you want next?

> supporting 46 backends through one UI is ambitious, that kind of breadth usually comes at the cost of each driver being shallow. how deep does the mongo/cassandra support actually go vs just basic CRUD?

> @hardik15 That is why the grid doesn't load everything at once by default. The query runs on the server side right next to the database and the relevant tab fetches only one page of data: a `SELECT` query without a `LIMIT` clause returns 500 rows, while the "Load More" option retrieves the next 500 rows upon request. Loading the entire dataset requires your confirmation first and stops at 100,000 rows. The grid uses a virtualized structure; therefore, regardless of how many rows are loaded, only those visible on the screen are processed and displayed.

The grid uses a virtualized structure; therefore, regardless of how many rows are loaded, only those visible on the screen are processed and displayed.\nThe loaded rows are kept in the tab’s memory, just as they would be in any client displaying data; consequently, for a dataset containing millions of rows, I would still prefer to use a script or the database engine’s own export (dump) tool. If you try the tool on one of your larger tables, I’d love to hear how it performs.\nI’m currently testing it on a live database with 6,000 tables (some containing millions of rows), and I haven’t encountered any issues except with the ER diagram.","datePublished":"2026-10-05T14:10:46.531Z","url":"https://daily.dev/posts/mbqwcAgFW#c-3WDE6ipSW","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"cevheri","url":"https://daily.dev/cevheri","image":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/12383547?v=4"},"interactionStatistic":{"@type":"InteractionCounter","interactionType":{"@type":"LikeAction"},"userInteractionCount":1}},{"@type":"Comment","text":"46 databases in one browser tab is both impressive and slightly threatening.","datePublished":"2026-10-07T14:15:25.390Z","url":"https://daily.dev/posts/mbqwcAgFW#c-I9eiqexUW","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Risto Tõldsep","url":"https://daily.dev/ristotoldsep","image":"https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/a/ACg8ocLDWc6mZn0JwNmXXw6WY0L_HJ6pegzRttooC5VgtXESHSj3MNYx=s96-c"}},{"@type":"Comment","text":"That’s a great to start with, or hear at the first place;\nHowever the biggest worry or issue I can foresee is the memory consumption or lag on production, or even a thousand of rows.\nMany browser tabs are already memory hungry and people already had a good number of tabs opens, when you open this as well on the tab, it we acquire more and more memory than a stand-alone app unless you use it mainly for schema or very limited rows use cases.\nI had similar kind of experience in Google Sheets few years before.
