Linux 7.1-rc4 has been released, bringing a range of fixes including Intel/AMD laptop quirks, a microphone fix for the upcoming Framework Laptop 13 Pro (Intel Panther Lake), support for newer Logitech Bluetooth keyboards via HID++ protocol, AMD Dynamic EPP issue fixes, and an option to disable KVM with CET virtualization due to host hangs. Security fixes from stable releases are also included, covering the ssh-keysign-pwn vulnerability, Dirty Frag, and Fragnesia. Notably, new documentation has been added covering what qualifies as a security bug and responsible AI use in Linux kernel development. The stable release is expected by mid-June.
