The Linux Foundation's July 2026 newsletter covers a wide range of open source community news. Highlights include a training promotion with up to 40% off certifications, KubeCon + CloudNativeCon Japan in Yokohama (July 28-30), and the launch of several new foundations and initiatives: x402 for AI agent payments, Open Health Stack, Akrites for defending open source against AI-enabled threats, and Agent Name Service for trusted AI identity. FINOS and major financial institutions announced intent to form OSERA for open source security remediation.
