## Summary

CI Games has delayed Lords of the Fallen II from 2026 to Q1 2027 and taken a $32 million loan to self-publish the game. The syndicated credit facility comes from Polish lenders Erste Bank Polska and Bank Ochrony Środowiska, with export credit agency KUKE guaranteeing 80% of it. The loan matures in August 2027. CEO Marek Tyminski says the closed beta now starts in January 2027, with almost 150 people working on the game and an exact release date due in December. It's a third-person soulslike RPG for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, with one report also listing Switch 2.

## Content

CI Games has moved Lords of the Fallen II from its original 2026 window to Q1 2027. The studio also signed a $32 million syndicated credit facility to finish the game and launch it on its own.

## The loan

The facility comes from two Polish lenders, Erste Bank Polska and Bank Ochrony Środowiska. It covers the remaining production costs, plus global marketing and the launch. Polish export credit agency KUKE guarantees 80% of it, and it matures in August 2027.

CI Games is self-publishing after ending its publishing deal with Epic Games. That means no outside publisher takes a cut of revenue, though the studio now carries the marketing and launch costs itself.

## Schedule and team

CEO Marek Tyminski said the closed beta is moving to January 2027. Almost 150 people are working on the game. An exact release date is due in December.

The sequel is a third-person soulslike action RPG with melee, ranged, and magic builds. Platforms are PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. One report also lists Switch 2.

## Work-in-progress footage

CI Games recently shared an animation and a work-in-progress clip with a look at the game's environments and VFX. It's early footage, but it's the first glimpse of how the sequel is shaping up since the delay.
