## Summary

Lucyd is a new Rust crate that centralizes documentation and testing for Axum-based backends supporting HTTP, WebSocket, and MQTT protocols in a single structured project. Inspired by OpenAPI and FastAPI's native documentation approach, it aims to replace juggling multiple tools like Postman and MQTT Explorer. The author is seeking honest feedback on API design, code architecture, and overall project value.

## Content

I was fed up with switching between Postman, MQTT Explorer and other tools just to test my backend, so I built my own thing.

Lucyd is a Rust crate inspired by OpenAPI that centralises the description and testing of HTTP, WebSocket and MQTT requests within a single, structured project.

Background: I’m developing the backend for a 3D Flipper project, and these three protocols run in parallel. Having everything in one place really makes a difference to my day-to-day work (especially as I'm used to working with FastAPI, which uses OpenAPI natively).

But I might not be entirely objective. What I’m looking for: honest feedback on the API design, the code architecture, and the project’s actual value. No false politenes, I prefer tough, constructive feedback.

If this resonates with you, if you want to contribute, or just pop by to tell me it’s rubbish, I’m here.
