# Managed Deep Agents v0.10: Browser Use and Async Subagents

**[LangChain](https://daily.dev/sources/langchain)** · 7 min read · 0 upvotes · 0 comments

## Summary

Managed Deep Agents v0.10 adds browser use and async subagents. Agents can now interact with websites that have no API, using tools like browser_snapshot, browser_run, and browser_screenshot. When a login is needed, browser_handoff gives a person control of the window so credentials never reach the model, and the link expires after 15 minutes. Subagents can now run asynchronously in the background by setting async=True, so the orchestrator keeps responding to the user while results arrive later. The release also adds thread-origin tracking, a Slack Stop button to cancel runs, and removes the old connectors.mcp() API in favor of tools/mcp.ts or tools/mcp.py.

## Questions this post answers

### How do I let an AI agent log into a website without exposing my password to the model?

Managed Deep Agents v0.10 adds a browser_handoff tool that lets the agent hand control of the browser window to a human when a site requires sign-in. The person logs in directly through a link, then hands control back, so credentials never appear in the model's messages or traces. Handoff links expire after 15 minutes.

### How do I run a subagent in the background without blocking the main agent in LangChain's deep agents framework?

Set 'async': True on a subagent definition in Managed Deep Agents v0.10. The orchestrator agent starts the async subagent on its own thread and keeps talking to the user while it runs, using async task tools to check on, update, or cancel the task. The result is delivered automatically when the subagent finishes, without polling.

_developers wiring up multi-agent workflows track async orchestration updates like this on daily.dev._

### What breaking changes come with Managed Deep Agents v0.10?

The connectors.mcp() API and the connectors/ directory layout are removed; MCP servers must now be declared in tools/mcp.ts or tools/mcp.py. The sandbox 'scope' option is also removed, and for LANGSMITH_* environment variables, shell environment variables now take priority over a project's .env file.

_teams upgrading agent frameworks check breaking-change notes like this on daily.dev before deploying._
