Canonical MAAS handles Day 0 bare metal provisioning — discovering, commissioning, testing, and deploying Ubuntu machines through repeatable, cloud-like workflows. Canonical Landscape covers Day 2 operations — centralized patching, monitoring, inventory, configuration management, and reporting across Ubuntu estates. Used together, MAAS provisions the machine and Landscape manages it throughout its lifetime, enabling consistent operations for private clouds, Kubernetes clusters, edge sites, AI infrastructure, and regulated environments.
