# Manulife Selects Akka to Operationalize Agentic AI within its Enterprise AI Platform

Manulife has selected Akka as a foundational platform for its enterprise agentic AI initiative. Akka's durable, highly available runtime will provide the security, reliability, and scalability needed to deploy AI agents across critical business workflows in a regulated environment. Manulife's enterprise AI platform, currently in beta, aims to embed AI across the organization with strong governance and Responsible AI practices. The company expects AI to generate over $1 billion in enterprise value by 2027, with roughly one-fifth from efficiency gains. Manulife was previously ranked the #1 life insurance company for AI maturity in the Evident AI Index.
