Earlier this year, Meta laid off around 8,000 employees and reassigned 7,000 others to AI-focused groups, including one called Agent Transformation. Zuckerberg admitted the restructuring was not as clean as it should have been and that the expected benefits of the new AI-focused structure have not yet materialized. He expressed hope that improvements would come within three to six months.
