MelodyMatrix 1.2.0 and 1.2.1 have been released. Version 1.2.0 lays the groundwork for an upcoming Learn section with flexible lesson configuration, background license verification, localized content, and premium lesson browsing. Playback improvements include single-file playback, a countdown indicator, adjustable playback speed, and a fix for dropped notes. Initial MusicXML file loading support is also added, powered by the Sheetmusic4J JavaFX library. Version 1.2.1 followed a day later to fix a startup regression where the new splash screen would get stuck on macOS or Linux, and resolves a rare freeze during license status checks. Updates are distributed via jDeploy through GitHub Releases for Mac, Windows, and Linux.
