The ceremony featured remarks from MIT President Sally Kornbluth, Corporation chair Mark Gorenberg, and Dean Hashim Sarkis, celebrating donors including the Morningside Foundation, Sidara, and the LUMA Foundation, who funded new interdisciplinary centers within the building such as the Morningside Academy for Design and the MIT LUMA Lab. The renovated structure features glass walls replacing brick, skylights, open corridors, design studios, and flexible classrooms intended to foster collaboration. ## Full article daily.dev links to this article rather than hosting it.
