Researchers demonstrate a large-scale fully connected quantum network using integrated soliton microcomb (SMC) and photonic encoding chips. The system leverages two-photon Hong-Ou-Mandel interference and measurement-device-independent (MDI) quantum key distribution to guarantee user-to-user security even with an untrusted network provider. The architecture achieves operation over 200 km of fiber with information-theoretic security, enabling massively parallel frequency generation and high-visibility interference, paving the way for metropolitan and intercity quantum networks.
