Microsoft's June 2026 AI update covers a wide range of announcements, many from the Build conference. Key highlights include: Anthropic Claude models (including new Mythos-class Claude Fable 5 and Sonnet 5) now running natively on Azure infrastructure; Microsoft's own MAI model family (MAI Thinking 1, MAI Image 2.5, MAI Transcribe 1.5, MAI Voice 2, MAI Code 1 Flash); on-device Ailon 1.0 models for local inferencing; and the M-Dash multi-model agentic security scanning harness. On the platform side, Foundry IQ, Work IQ, and Web IQ all reached GA, providing enterprise and internet knowledge layers for AI agents. Azure AI Foundry gained new agent toolboxes, expanded memory types, managed VNETs for evaluations, and ROI tracking. Copilot Studio added computer-using agents at GA and a redesigned workflow canvas. M365 Copilot Co-work went GA with usage-based billing, and Microsoft Scout launched in preview as an always-on autonomous personal agent. GitHub Copilot received a GA desktop app, a sandbox feature in preview, and a GA SDK for embedding its agentic core in custom apps.
