Microsoft unveiled Scout at its Build 2026 conference, a personal AI agent for work that integrates with tools like Teams and Outlook. Built on OpenClaw and WorkIQ (the intelligence layer for Microsoft 365 Copilot), Scout proactively handles routine tasks such as resolving scheduling conflicts and meeting prep without being explicitly asked. Currently available to Frontier customers, Scout is part of a broader wave of announcements at Build including Microsoft IQ, WebIQ, and seven new in-house AI models. The launch comes as Google is also rumored to be developing a similar personal agent called Remy, signaling an industry-wide shift toward always-on, autonomous personal agents.
