Microsoft has added several useful features to PowerToys that arguably should be built into Windows 11 itself. Three highlighted additions include Grab and Move (easier window repositioning and resizing without targeting the title bar), Power Display (better external monitor management), and Light Switch (automatic light/dark theme switching tied to time of day). The author argues that PowerToys has become essential for Windows 11 to be competitive with Linux desktops, and suggests Microsoft should ship PowerToys pre-installed with Windows rather than continuing to bundle bloatware.
