# Microsoft Terminal: Be What's Next.

**[Product Hunt](https://daily.dev/sources/ph)** · 1 min read · 7 upvotes · 1 comments

## Summary

Microsoft has released an experimental open-source fork of Windows Terminal called Intelligent Terminal, featuring native AI agent integration. It adds a docked agent pane with shell context awareness, automatic error detection, multiple agent session management, and command palette prompts for ACP-compatible agent CLIs. It defaults to GitHub Copilot CLI but supports other agents like Gemini. Notably, it ships as a separate app rather than being integrated into the main Windows Terminal.

> It's pretty cool, definitely very helpful. I still prefer Warp myself, but this is a great alternative. And you can use your active subs (for now not sure about Claude after June 15th)
