The system activates roughly 50 billion parameters per token via 16 of 896 experts, features a 1-million-token context window, and introduces Kimi Delta Attention for faster long-context decoding and Attention Residuals for improved training efficiency. On Moonshot's own benchmarks, K3 ranks second overall behind only Anthropic's Fable 5 and OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol, and on Arena.ai's blind front-end coding leaderboard developers ranked it above both closed competitors. The model is natively multimodal and API-compatible with the OpenAI SDK, priced at $0.30 per million cached input tokens and $15 per million output tokens.
