Default BIOS settings on a new high-end gaming PC were silently limiting performance. Three key changes made a significant difference: enabling Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) to let the AMD CPU boost higher and longer, activating the EXPO memory profile so DDR5 RAM ran at its advertised speed instead of slow JEDEC defaults, and turning on Resizable BAR to allow the CPU full access to GPU VRAM. Each change was free and required no hardware upgrades, delivering noticeably better frame rates and reduced stuttering in games like Call of Duty: Warzone.
