By attaching a single provider object to an agent, every conversation turn is stored in Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL, distilled into facts, summaries, and user profiles, and recalled across sessions using vector, full-text, and hybrid search — no extra orchestration code required. The provider uses before_run and after_run lifecycle hooks to inject relevant context before each agent run and persist new turns afterward. Memory is scoped by user_id for cross-session recall. Custom extraction prompts via Prompty templates allow domain-specific tuning of what the agent remembers.
