NIST is evolving its Cybersecurity Framework (CSF 2.0) to address AI and quantum computing risks through a new Cyber AI Profile. Key themes from the second NIST Cyber AI Profile Workshop include special considerations for agentic AI, the need for a consistent AI taxonomy, AI governance and accountability, human-in-the-loop requirements, and guidelines for testing and evaluating AI systems. CISA has also released an AI-focused directive prioritizing high-risk software vulnerabilities, and an executive order has been signed to address AI-related cybersecurity risks.
