Netstar, a subsidiary of Altron, has opened a Digital Learning Centre (DLC) at BG Alexander Estate in Hillbrow, Johannesburg, in partnership with MES NPC. The facility serves grade 7-9 learners from inner-city Johannesburg, offering three learning streams: IT and digital skills (coding and computer literacy), Tinker (problem-solving and spatial reasoning), and Robotics (engineering via team challenges). This is the second DLC delivered under Altron's Jozi My Jozi partnership, following the first centre opened in Marshalltown in October 2025. The initiative aims to provide STEM access to children who would otherwise lack such resources, with the hub operating year-round and measuring sustainable learner outcomes over multiple academic years.
