The attack chains three flaws: a parameter-to-prompt (P2P) injection via the 'q' URL parameter, an HTML rendering race condition that allows an img tag to fire before sanitization completes, and a Bing SSRF that bypasses Content Security Policy by using Bing as an unwitting exfiltration proxy. The victim only needs to click a crafted link; Copilot silently searches their data and embeds results in an outbound image request. Microsoft patched the issue and assigned it a critical severity rating.
