Nikita Bier has stepped down as head of product at X (formerly Twitter) after just over a year in the role. The serial entrepreneur and Lightspeed venture partner, who joined in July 2025, oversaw the launch of 30 new products but also presided over several controversies, including Grok's 'MechaHitler' incident and the platform's legal troubles over AI-generated CSAM. Bier says he will continue to advise X while returning to being a 'poster.'
