The National Science Foundation is renewing funding for the CU Boulder-led NSF Q-SEnSE Quantum Leap Challenge Institute with a $37.5 million, five-year award. The institute, led by physicist Jun Ye, researches quantum technologies such as atomic clocks, stable lasers, and biomedical sensors for precision measurement, and involves 39 researchers across 16 institutions. Part of the funding supports quantum workforce development. NSF Q-SEnSE is one of eight Quantum Leap Challenge Institutes collectively receiving over $290 million.
