A 21-year-old New York man, Anthony Belford, was indicted on federal cyberstalking charges after allegedly using AI-generated nude images and fake social media profiles across Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, X, Strava, and Yahoo to harass a Georgia college student. Between January and March 2025, he impersonated the victim, sent fabricated racist messages, and even emailed an AI-generated nude to the victim's mother. The Justice Department noted that federal law prohibits sharing non-consensual intimate images, including AI-generated ones, and urged victims to report violations to the FBI and FTC.
