## Summary

Olimex has released the PICO-EVB, a €14.95 automation board designed for Raspberry Pi Pico and compatible boards. It features four optoisolated inputs supporting 3.3–30V DC or 110–220V AC, four relays rated for 15V DC/240V AC, a USB-C port, a UEXT expansion connector, and status LEDs. The board is open-source hardware with KiCad design files on GitHub, and comes with Arduino and MicroPython code samples including a web server example. It also supports ESPHome firmware for Home Assistant integration. Compared to similar relay boards, it stands out by combining both relays and high-voltage inputs in a compact 100×70mm form factor.

### Does the Olimex PICO-EVB support Home Assistant?

Yes, Olimex provides a YAML configuration for ESPHome firmware alongside the PICO-EVB board, enabling integration with the Home Assistant automation framework. The GitHub repository also includes Arduino and MicroPython sample code, including a MicroPython example that runs a web server to display input status and control relays from a browser.

> Great idea - can we perhaps get one with a few more input channels ? Need at least 5 for a double swing gate controller. 4xlimit switches + 1x remote. Maybe with solid state relays. The gates have forward and reverse motors which need electrical interlock (not easily available on ssr but I have a plan using NAND gates). We are driving contactors from the relays so 2 amp SSR will be fine.
