Red Hat developer Karol Herbst announced the milestone on Mastodon, noting this would make it the first modern AMD GPU hardware to achieve formal OpenCL conformance recognition in over a decade — AMD's last submission was in 2015 for OpenCL 2.0 on Windows. AMD's ROCm stack still lacks any conformance submissions.
