This marks a significant milestone after three years of development since AMD announced openSIL in 2023 as a future replacement for AGESA. The setup can be flashed directly via the BMC web interface, enabling Secure Memory Encryption by default. While AMD targets production readiness for Zen 6, the current implementation already works well in practice.
