The merged view lets people move from exploring an idea to having ChatGPT carry it through in one place, including bringing in files and plugins to build a website, create a presentation, or act on the web. Codex stays a separate experience in the app. ChatGPT and Codex will now draw tokens from the same usage allowance, which OpenAI says won't affect most users but could mean more frequent waits for resets for some. The rollout starts with select users before going wide.
