OpenChoreo (the CNCF Sandbox developer platform for Kubernetes) launched an <a href="https://openchoreo.dev/ecosystem/" target="_blank" rel="noopener nofollow">ecosystem</a> directory, and it’s a nice way to see what the project can actually do without reading docs for an hour.
49 items so far, organized as modules, integrations, agents, skills, component types, and workflows. A few that stood out to me:
<ul>
<li>Self-service database workflows: developers provision AWS RDS or Azure SQL instances through Terraform without filing a ticket to the platform team</li>
<li>AI agents built in: an SRE agent for root cause analysis and a FinOps agent that flags cost optimization opportunities</li>
<li>Agent Sandbox: kernel-level isolation for AI agent workloads using gVisor or Kata Containers, with pre-warmed pools for fast startup</li>
<li>The usual CNCF suspects as modules: Argo Workflows, Envoy Gateway, Flux CD, OpenCost</li>
</ul>
Everything is open source and the directory itself accepts community contributions, so if you maintain a tool that fits, you can add it.

The directory is organized into modules, integrations, agents, skills, component types, and workflows. Highlights include self-service database provisioning for AWS RDS and Azure SQL via Terraform, built-in AI agents for SRE root cause analysis and FinOps cost optimization, kernel-level isolation for AI agent workloads using gVisor or Kata Containers, and integrations with popular CNCF tools like Argo Workflows, Envoy Gateway, Flux CD, and OpenCost. The directory is open source and accepts community contributions.
