Young noted that the sheer scale of updating semantic conventions across all language SDKs may require new tooling (including Weaver) and AI-assisted coding techniques to reduce maintainer burden. He also flagged a growing problem: AI-generated pull requests are increasing noise for maintainers, who are increasingly having to act as moderators filtering out low-quality AI-slop contributions.
