# OpenTelemetry for Microservices Tracing and Observability

## Summary

Learn about OpenTelemetry and how it supports vendor neutrality for DevOps and SREs to monitor and observe microservices in the cloud. OpenTelemetry provides open-source standards and formats for collecting and exporting telemetry data from microservices for observability purposes.
