# ORM 6.10.0, New Features for Prisma Postgres, Remote MCP & More

## Summary

Prisma ORM v6.10.0 is out with several notable improvements. Local Prisma Postgres instances now support direct connections from any ORM or tool. The VS Code extension gains UI for managing multiple local Prisma Postgres instances and a 'Push to Cloud' button for easy deployment. A new remote MCP server lets AI tools manage Prisma Postgres databases via SQL queries, schema introspection, and backup management. The ORM release also moves the Rust-free query compiler to Preview for MS SQL Server and PlanetScale, adds native shard key support for PlanetScale, and delivers a 2x speed improvement for prisma migrate dev via shadow database optimizations.
