# Panasonic Automotive vSkipGen runs on Axion-based C4A-metal

## Summary

Panasonic Automotive's vSkipGen platform, a next-generation Cockpit Domain Controller (CDC) virtualization solution, has been validated on Google Cloud's C4A-metal bare-metal instances powered by the Arm-based Axion processor. vSkipGen creates digital twins of vehicle cockpits using Android Cuttlefish, crosvm (a Rust-based VMM), and Linux KVM for hardware-assisted virtualization. It virtualizes peripherals via VirtIO and uses Panasonic's Unified HMI technology to offload GPU rendering and stream cockpit UIs to any browser via WebRTC. Running on C4A-metal (96 vCPUs, up to 768GB DDR5, 100Gbps networking) enables automotive teams to develop, test, and validate full Android Automotive OS stacks in the cloud without physical hardware prototypes, supporting CI/CD pipelines and distributed global teams.
