The Papirus icon theme has received its first update since May 2025, adding over 80 new or updated icons. The Papirus 202608 release covers new app icons (Jellyfin Desktop, ProtonVPN, Podman Desktop, Thunderbird Flatpak, and more), expanded gaming coverage (Cities Skylines 2, Overwatch, Hollow Knight: Silksong), additional ROM file mimetypes, and redesigned icons for JetBrains IDEs (IntelliJ IDEA, PyCharm) and Zotero. The entire C family mimetype icons have been refreshed for visual consistency. Installation instructions are provided via GitHub download or the Papirus PPA for Ubuntu/Linux Mint users.
