A hands-on unboxing, teardown, and first boot review of the SpacemiT K3 Pico-ITX Chassis Kit, a mini PC powered by the SpacemiT K3 16-core RISC-V Edge AI SoC. The kit includes a Pico-ITX motherboard with 16GB LPDDR4x RAM, 128GB UFS storage, 10GbE SFP+ networking, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and M.2 expansion slots. The system boots Bianbu OS (Linux-based), which correctly detects all hardware including all 16 RISC-V cores clocked at up to 2.2 GHz. Idle temperatures run a bit high at 65°C. Part 2 will cover benchmarks and full feature testing.
