Percona, known for its enterprise support for open source databases like MongoDB and MySQL, now supports the Valkey in-memory data store. The support, available in production and premium forms, addresses the needs of those transitioning from Redis, from which Valkey was forked. Valkey was created in response to Redis's shift from open source licensing. Major tech companies are contributing to Valkey, and its second major release is forthcoming. Percona also plans to enhance Valkey's programmability and security.
