pgcopydb v0.18 is out after 23 months of development, representing the largest release in the project's history with 88 commits, 13 new features, and 24+ bug fixes. Key highlights include full PostgreSQL 16/17/18 compatibility, a CDC engine rewrite replacing JSON files with SQLite for better reliability and performance, pgoutput as the new default logical decoding plugin, a new --all-databases flag for cloning entire PostgreSQL instances, Citus-to-Citus migration support, regex-based table filtering, and compatibility with read-only source servers. A CVE fix (CVE-2025-8714) is also included.
