Phoenix 1.4.0 has been released with several major features: HTTP/2 support via Cowboy 2 adapter, local SSL certificate generation for development, faster compile times, a new 404 debug page listing available routes, and an overhauled channel transport layer. The JavaScript client gains a simplified Presence API that resolves race conditions. The generator now uses webpack instead of brunch and Milligram instead of Bootstrap. The transport macro is deprecated in favor of endpoint-level socket configuration. Requires Elixir 1.5+ for new projects.
