A developer has created patches for Wine that enable Adobe Creative Cloud installers to run on Linux. The patches fix how Wine handles JavaScript and XML code used by Adobe installers, successfully tested with Photoshop 2021 and 2025. Most Adobe apps can now be installed, except UWP apps like Adobe XD and Fresco. The patches have been submitted to Valve's Wine fork but need upstream Wine approval before potential inclusion in Proton. Pre-built binaries are available on GitHub, though actually running the installed apps remains a separate challenge.
