## Summary

Octopus 16 is a compact wireless EEG device built around the XIAO ESP32-S3 board that lets users control computer games using brain signals — no hands or implants required. It features 16 electrodes via spring-loaded pogo pins, two Texas Instruments ADS131M08 24-bit ADCs for simultaneous biosignal sampling (EEG, EMG, ECG), and operates as a BLE HID gamepad. The device pairs with the open-source PiEEG server, with Arduino and Python code available on GitHub. A demo video shows a developer navigating a maze by thought alone, though performance is still limited. The Octopus 16 is the most compact BCI device from the PiEEG team to date and sells for $250 on Elecrow, requiring an additional XIAO board and battery.
