Polypane 24 is a major release for the development browser, introducing pane recording with video annotation and trimming, a 3D stacking context visualizer for debugging z-index issues, custom tab titles and colors per domain (to distinguish local vs. production), and event-preserving HTML editing in the Elements panel. Design updates include new pane resize indicators, focused pane outlines, and sortable workspaces. Accessibility improvements include clearer WCAG version wording, aria-label role warnings, and better focus order handling for radio groups. The release also adds new CSS pseudo-class support (::checkmark, ::picker-icon, carousel-related selectors), screenshot quality fixes, and emulation improvements. Built on Chromium 136.
